Oh hi! Hey! It’s me, Scott. The Indianapolis Coffee Guide hitting your inbox after a little bit of a hiatus.
The last time you got an email from me was in July of 2023 (whoops!), and a lot has happened since then—both in the local coffee scene, for the Indianapolis Coffee Guide, and in my personal life. Alas, here we are! Let’s catch up on a few things, yeah?
EXCLUSIVE BTS: Kyle Miller (played by Mitchell Wray) working behind-the-counter on location at Calvin Fletcher’s Coffee Company in Fletcher Place.
Calvin Fletcher’s Feature Film Debut is Here!
As I told you all about back in June, our friends at Calvin Fletcher’s Coffee Company in Fletcher Place added local charm to the upcoming film, “Dirty Laundry.” We love our friends at 12 Stars Media, the folks behind the film, and I couldn’t be more excited that the world premiere is almost here!
“Dirty Laundry” is premiering at this year’s Heartland Film Festival at Newfields. The first public screening of the film will be Sunday, October 13. Tickets are available now!
One of the biggest reasons I’m excited for this film (besides my friends doing really cool stuff) is that Calvin Fletcher’s is a backdrop for a portion of the film. I love behind-the-scenes anything, and my friend Rocky, the writer and director, gave the Coffee Guide an exclusive peek behind the making of the film at Calvin Fletcher’s. Check it out on the blog.
Our biggest collab ever 🏈
As an Indy native, I’ve been a Colts fan for my entire life. I’ve never been a SportsGuy™️, but I’ve always been a Colts fan. That’s just how it works when you live in a SportsCity like Indianapolis.
When I got an email from The Colts earlier this year, I almost didn’t believe it. Flash forward a few months, and we recently kicked off a dream collab I could have never imagined.
If you’re reading this, you most likely follow @indianapoliscoffee on Instagram and/or you frequent local coffee shops in Indianapolis, so you most likely already know all about the collab in partnership with The Colts Kicking The Stigma Foundation and our friends at AFSP Indiana for September and October.
If by some chance you have no idea what I’m talking about, check out this press release from our friends at Kicking The Stigma. Then you can read all about the collab and how it came to be on IndianapolisCoffeeGuide.com.
Bonus content: that time we had a press release on freakin’ Colts.com with photos I took, and that time we made a reel with the freakin’ Colts mascot.
The Past, Present, and Future of @indianapoliscoffee
I had this whole section written about the last year of my life and the Indianapolis Coffee Guide, but I want to give this conversation more than just a paragraph or two. I’ll be back soon with more about the past, present, and future of this beautiful passion project of mine, and how it has intentionally and unintentionally shifted over the last 18 months or so.
